Late Work: Students must send an email to Mrs. McLaughlin notifying her of any late assignment submitted on Schoology. Otherwise, the assignment will not be graded since she does not know that the assignment has been handed in late. Please see the resource page titled "Grading Policy" for more information.

SSR: Novels should be brought to class everyday. Students can read their novels quietly if they finish classwork early. Students can also work on SSR Reflections when their classwork has been completed. 

 Participation: Reading for understanding is the key focus of my classroom! In order to maximize our level of understanding, students need to purposefully engage with class discussions, activities, read alouds, and assignments. It's essential that we all feel comfortable enough to share our big takeaways and opinions on a novel - that is how we LEARN and gain perspective!
