    1. Lunch Money?  Send a check made payable to Northern Food Services with your child's lunch number written on the check.  Place the check in an envelope marked with your child's name.  Your child can deliver the envelope to the classroom.
    2. Belongings? Mark all belongings with your child's name.  Please send a backpack with your child every day.
    3. Snack?  We will have a time for snack each day.  Your child may bring a nutritious snack and a drink.  Please do not send candy, chips, cookies, soda, etc.  Some good examples are pretzels, cheese sticks, fruit, etc.  Your child may bring water each day.  The drink should be in a closed container, such as a bottle with a pop top.
    4. Not riding the bus?  A note must accompany your child in the morning and be given to the teacher.  If the teacher does not have a note, your child will go home on the bus.
    5. Change in routine transportation?  No child will be permitted to leave school without the consent of his/her legal guardian.  Please send a note to inform the school of any changes.
    6. What to do when picking up your child before the end of the day?  When you arrive to pick up your child, go directly to the office.  The secretary will contact the classroom teacher to send your child to the office.
    7. Early dismissal? District excuse blank must be filled out and given to the teacher the morning of the early dismissal.
    8. Book Orders? Book orders are due 1 week after the day they are sent home.  Please make one check, for the total amount of all the orders, made payable to Scholastic Book Clubs.  Place the check and order form in an envelope.  If ordering a set of books to be delivered to your home, please do not forget to fill out the extra box on the order form.
    9. Reading Calendar?  A reading calendar will be sent home monthly.  Have your child color a block for each day that (s)he reads.  At the end of the week, sign your initials.  Return the calendar at the beginning of each week.  *The goal is to read at least 22 days each month.   
    10. Medication?  The nurse must approve all medicine.  This includes cough drops, aspirin, throat lozenges, etc.
    11. Sick?  Call the office to advise that your child is ill or is going to be late. Call 432-8691 prior to 9:00.
    12. Returning after absence?  An excuse blank needs to accompany your child when  returning to school.
    13. Vacationing during the school year?  Request a Student Excusal Form prior to taking a trip to avoid an unexcused absence.  Please try to avoid having your child miss the first or last 2 weeks of school.
    14. Conferences?  One conference will be scheduled in November and another conference will be scheduled in the spring.
    15. Birthday?  Treats can be dropped off at the office.  Please send napkins, plates, and/or plastic utensils, if needed.  Do not send invitations to be handed out at school unless there is one invitation for every child.
    16. Highlights, Puzzlemania, etc.?  Please sign and return.  Only a signature is needed to receive free items for our classroom.
