First Grade Homework

           There is no graded homework in first grade.
              You can help your child prepare for school by:
     
     
                                1.  reviewing sight words with your child
                                2.  helping your child practice math fact fluency
                                3.  reading to your child and listening to your child read to you
                                4.  being positive about school and your child's efforts to do well
                                5.  encouraging your child to tell you in detail about the day's events
                                6.  ensuring that your child gets a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast
                                7.  making sure your child has a clean mask to wear to school each day. 
                                8.  maintaining a positive attitude about the challenges that come with a global pandemic.
