    Northern York County School District offers a full-day Kindergarten Program for students who turn 5 years of age before September 1 of the given school year. No early entry exceptions.

    KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

    February 1, 2024 - 2024-25 Sapphire Online Kindergarten Registration Form opens.

    KINDERGARTEN FAMILY FORUM NIGHT

    March 21, 2024- Kindergarten Family Information Night

    Location: Northern High School Cafeteria 

    Time: 6pm-7pm

    KINDERGARTEN SCREENING DAY

    April 6, 2024 - Kindergarten Screening Day

    Location: Dillsburg Elementary School

    Time: 8am- 4pm

     

    Other Important Information

    Full-Day Kindergarten Hours: 9:00 AM to 3:40 PM

    Modified Kindergarten Hours (2-hour delay): 11:00 AM to 3:40 PM 

    Class Placement/Busing Assignment:
    A letter will be mailed at the beginning of August providing information regarding the assigned session, busing information, and teacher assignments. This information will also be communicated via the Parent Portal.

    Orientation/Back-to-School Night:
    An orientation for incoming kindergarten students is typically held one evening the week prior to instruction beginning. This orientation gives the students an opportunity to visit the classrooms, as well as ride the bus. Parents attend orientation with their child (no siblings please). A building wide Back-to-School night will also be held in September. More information regarding these events will be posted on each buildings' website closer to the first day of school.
