PSSA:

The Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) is an annual English Language Arts and Mathematics assessment administered during the spring semester in grades 3 through 8. PSSA Testing Window 2024

PSSA Tests are end-of-year assessments in Math, ELA, and Science. PSSA tests are taken by students in 3rd - 8th grade.

Elementary Testing Sessions are held in the morning on these dates:

April 22, 23, & 24, 2024: English Language Arts

April 29, & 30, 2024: Math

May 1, & 2, 2024: Science (4th grade only)

May 6, 2024: Begin Make Up sessions.

Middle School Testing Sessions are held on these dates:

April 23, 24, & 25, 2024: English Language Arts

April 29, & 30, 2024: Math

May 2, & 3, 2024: Science (8th Grade Only)

May 6, 2024: Begin make up sessions

Keystone Exams:

The Keystone Exams are end-of-course assessments designed to assess proficiency in Algebra I, Literature, and Biology. At NYCSD, the Algebra I assessment may be given in grades 7 through 11. The Literature and Biology assessments may be given in grades 9 through 11. Keystone Exams are administered in the winter and the spring. The Middle School and High School will communicate which students are taking which test and on what date. Keystone Exams Winter Testing Schedule 2024

NYCSD only tests a limited number of students in grades 9 through 11 during the Winter Testing window. If your students is required to test at this time, you will be notified.

January 3rd & 4th 2024: Algebra

January 8th & 9th, 2024: Biology

January 11th & 12th, 2023: Literature

Make Up exams will be scheduled up to January 17th, 2024

Keystone Exams Spring Testing Schedule 2024

Middle School

The Algebra Keystone will be administered on May 15th & 16th, 2024

High School

May 13th & May 14th - 9th grade Biology and 10th Grade Literature

May 16th & May 17th - 10th grade Biology and 9th-11th Grade Algebra

May 20th & May 21st - Other tests as scheduled.  ****This will be communicated to testing students by the high school administration.
