Kindergarten Workshops are held yearly.

Parents will work with the Reading Specialist learning how to work with their children at home.

Students will work with Kindergarten classroom teachers on like skills

The final part of the workshop, will bring parents and children together to use the skills that they learned.

Materials will be given to each family:

• magnetic white board and markers
• wikki sticks
• traceable
• magnetic letters
• early reading Keep Books
• spaceman

The workshop will cover the following topics:

• Fine Motor Skills
• Phonemic Awareness- rhyming, syllables, beginning/middle/ending sounds
• Alphabet Awareness and Sight Word Awareness
• Reading and Cmprehension
• Writing
