Meet the Teacher

  • My name is Mrs. Rodgers and this is my 7th year teaching at DES and my 2nd year in 3rd grade! 

    I did my undergrad at Messiah College where I dual majored in elementary and special education. I also completed my Masters in Curriculum and Supervision at Penn State World Campus.
     
    Pennsylvania isn't my home state-I actually grew up in a small town in NH until I came to PA for college. I absolutely love this state and can't imagine living or teaching anywhere else. 
     
    When I'm not teaching (or planning for teaching!) I love to work in my vegetable garden, spend time in nature with my husband and kids, decorate cakes, read, play piano, or run. It certainly isn't hard to keep busy!
