     About the Teacher

I've always been a Polar Bear!  I graduated from Northern High School in 1984. After graduation, I attended college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  I graduated from IUP in 1988 with a degree in Elementary Education.  In 1989 I married my husband, Joe Bodisch.  I was hired  by the Northern School District in 1990 to teach kindergarten at Northern Elementary.  After teaching kindergarten for two years and second grade for three years, I left teaching temporarily to be a full time mom.  I was blessed to be able to stay home with our sons, Joey and Jordan for five years.  I returned to teaching at Dillsburg Elementary in 1999 as a kindergarten teacher.  I taught kindergarten for nine years.  Teaching kindergarten was a wonderful experience, but I wanted to have the opportunity to work with older children at some point in my career.  I made the move to fourth grade in the fall of 2008 and this is where I plan to stay!

Outside of school, I live in Dillsburg with my husband Joe.  Our oldest son, Joey, is now a graduate of Penn State  University and is currently employed as a Scientist at Eurofins Lab in Lancaster. We are very excited for his upcoming wedding and welcoming Nikki to our family. Our youngest son, Jordan graduated this past spring from Drexel University and is currently employed at Vanguard.  He recently moved to his very own apartment. My students keep me busy and distracted from being an empty nester.
I am very thankful to have a job that I love and a wonderful team of teachers to work with.   I am looking forward to a great year with your children:)
