Meet Miss. Muñoz
Meet Miss. Muñoz!
Hi friends! Thank you for visiting and wanting to get to know me a little bit more!
This will be my second year teaching art at Dillsburg and Northern Elementary Schools- how exciting!!! In 2016, I graduated from Southern Lehigh School District where I was in a Spanish Immersion program for 11 years (so yes, I speak Spanish fluently)! I graduated from Messiah University (formerly known as Messiah College) with a B.S. in Art Education and concentration in 3D studies. Currently, I am pursuing my M.A. in Art Education at Boston University.
During my undergrad, I completed my student teaching first at East Pennsboro Area High School teaching 9-12 grade art classes and secondly at the Commonwealth Charter Academy teaching 8th grade art. For the past two summers (2018-2019) I taught art and English in a small rural town called Chiquilá in Mexico.
I have presented at the 2019 PAEA conference in State College, PA and presented virtually at the 2020 NAEA conference in Minneapolis, MN.
As an artist, I enjoy working with textile mediums. This means I like to dye fabric, sew wearbale clothing, and embroider. I also work with ceramics, painting, and woodworking.
