My name is Korena Rosenberry. I am beginning my 18th year here at Wellsville. This is my twelfth year teaching 5th grade. My past years in fifth grade were immensely enjoyable! I'm looking forward to a fresh "crop" of students! We WILL have a spectacular year together, especially when we work together as a "TEAM"! We will be working hard all year on keeping a positive growth mindset at all times! Stay tuned for more growth mindset information throughout the year!
I am a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania. I earned my permanent certification in elementary education by completing 24 credits through Wilkes University and Performance Learning Systems.
I am a widow. My husband passed away sixteen years ago. We met at York College and were married for 13 years before he died. He was an amazing dad, a wonderful husband, and a pretty good baseball player! He is deeply missed. In April of 2016 I married an amazing man named Trevor. He came with four children of his own. He played volleyball in college and served as a pastor for a few years before we met. He is now a Director of Operations for Allen Distribution in Carlise! We live in Wellsville!
I have a daughter, Katie who teachers secondary English in the Hanover School District. She got married last summer so I now have a son-in-law, Caleb! I also have three step sons and a step daughter. Luke, works in Colorado and Alaska as a hunting guide next year. He is engaged to be married this coming June.. Jacob is a recent graduate of Big Spring High school. He works at LetterKenny Army depot near Newville. Abram is a sophomore at HACC and works as a supervisor for UPS in Carlisle. Abigail is an eleventh grader! As you can imagine, there aren't many dull moments in the Rosenberry household!
We own a pair of black cats. Their names are Jake and Zoey. Even though they are brother and sister from the same litter, Jake is twice the size of Zoey. Big Brother, indeed! We also have a dog, named Blu. He is a mix of German Shepherd, Australian Shepherd, and Golden Retriever. He will be five next spring and he's always on the go!
In our "spare" time we love watching sporting events. We are big fans of the Penn State women's volleyball team. We love the Baltimore Orioles! We are also Mega-Duke Bluedevil fans! We love college basketball season!
