Welcome to second grade! I am so excited to be your child's teacher.

This will be my fourth year teaching second grade in the district and my third year at DES. I grew up in Mechanicsburg and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. There, I completed two years of student teaching in a variety of classrooms including placements in pre-K, first grade, and life skills. 

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, friends, and my dog, Oliver, who has become a celebrity in our classroom! I am a huge Pittsburgh sports fan and always root for the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. I also enjoy spending time outside, working on creative projects, and reading.  

I love watching students build confidence in themselves and their skills, and I look forward to working with you and your child this school year.
