Welcome to our class!  This will be my thirteenth year teaching first grade at South Mountain Elementary. 

Before teaching first grade, I was a substitute teacher for 8 years for the Northern York School District and spent most of my time at South Mountain.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Messiah College and my Master’s Degree in Instructional Media through Wilkes University. 

My husband and I live in Dillsburg. Our oldest son, Michael, and his wife Rhianna live and work in Antrim, Northern Ireland.  (Fun fact - Rhianna is a first grade teacher!) Our youngest son, Evan, lives in Dillsburg and works in York. Both Michael and Evan attended South Mountain Elementary and graduated from Northern.

I love the beach, reading, cooking, baking, chocolate, coffee, and, of course, being with my family!

I can't wait to begin this year's first grade adventures with all our new friends.
