Mrs. Warren's Bio - Here is where you learn about me!
-
Hi Friends!
This is the beginning of my 8th year as a learning support teacher at South Mountain. I grew up in Maryland and attended West Virginia Wesleyan College. I have a Bachelors Degree in elementary and special education (this means I took a bunch of classes to learn about teaching). After graduating, I taught in West Virginia.
I took a break from teaching to stay at home with my kids. My husband, Mr. Warren, and I have three children and gained one more when our son got married. Mr. Warren works for a faith based financial services company. He works with people in the company to help them solve problems, work better, and get along well. Matt lives North Carolina with his wife Rachel. Matt is working on an accountant. Rachel is a project manager for a company that creates art work for public spaces. Kayla, is working on her master's degree at Temple University. She is studying social work and really loves it. Emily, is a junior at Messiah College and is majoring in accounting. She is doing an internship that she really enjoys.
When my kids got older I went back to school at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL (except that the school was online). Now I have a Master's Degree in reading and literacy (this means I took tons of classes to learn about teaching reading). I was pretty nervous about going back to school and afraid that the work would be too hard, but I did it! That is a really good feeling. (This is why I push you to work hard)!
When I'm not at school, I have fun hanging out with my family. We like to talk, laugh (my husband and kids are very funny), play games, and travel. None of us likes doing chores, but we do those together too. I also enjoy reading, being outside (especially at the beach), volunteering at my church, and collecting giraffes. Thanks for taking time to learn about me!
