Reading Homework Requirements

All students assigned to Mrs. Hoover's reading class will be assigned the task of reading 100 pages (or around) per week. If you find that one week is busier than the next, I encourage students to read above 100 prior to the busy week, or the week after. The goal is to reach 2,500 pages by the end of the school year, as I throw an ice cream sundae party for those that reach the PA Reads goal. After reading the 100 pages, students will complete a summary of their reading and the focus task assigned for that week. Completed homework is turned in on Friday, with both the student's signature and a parent/guardian's signature. See the attached document to view the homework assignment students will receive weekly [Monday the homework is assigned, Friday it is due]. The focus tasks are subject to change, depending on the speed at which the students cover material and need of the students for the material covered. I would not recommend doing the focus tasks ahead of the week they are assigned.
