My name is Mrs. Gettle and I am honored to be a Polar Bear.  This is my first year as an Instructional Coach at Northern, but my 25th year of teaching.  I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grade.  I was also an Instructional Support Teacher, Reading Specialist and Literacy Coach.  I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania so I am a huge Pittsburgh sports fan.  I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and my graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University.  In addition, I earned a literacy coaching certificate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  I live in York with my husband Jeff, Natalie (daughter), and Cleo (my goldendoodle).  In my free time, I like to exercise and spend time with family and friends.  I am thrilled to be a part of Polar Bear Nation!
