Mrs. Livick- Counselor for last names A-L

  • Our school counseling program is designed to assist students with academic, personal, social, and career needs. We hope to accomplish this by working with all school faculty, students, families, and communities.

6th graders must realize the importance of time management, organization, setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and having good study habits when they come to middle school. With these skills, students are laying a strong foundation for academic success.

7th graders continue their trek to learn more about themselves, become more independent academically, dive deeper into career exploration, and strengthen their educational foundation. Not only will this help them in 8th grade and high school, but it will allow them to become strong, productive adults.

8th graders are more grounded. They are ready to tackle bigger things and are equipped to do so. They are getting ready for high school and adding tools to their toolboxes to become strong, independent young adults.

I encourage students to visit me when necessary. I usually meet with them during homeroom, team time, advisory, and study hall. I do meet with students at any time for emergencies. Please note that I don't provide ongoing mental health therapy.

Parents, I welcome you to get in touch with me for any reason. My number is 432-8691 ext. 1305 or alivick@northernyork.org. I believe your participation in your child's education is key to their success. You can do this by encouraging them, asking questions, monitoring assignments, communicating with teachers, and supporting their success.
