Explore With Mrs. Albert

  • Welcome to Kindergarten

Hi my name is Amy Albert.  This is my 11th year as a Kindergarten teacher at South Mountain Elementary.  Prior to becoming a full-time teacher I worked with young children at a local daycare center.  I also worked in this school district as a substitute teacher.

I am originally from the Kralltown area, but spent a lot of time in Dillsburg with my extended family.  For two and a half years I lived in Phoenix, Arizona to complete my college education.  I earned a bachelors degree in elementary education from Grand Canyon University.  After graduating, I moved back to the Dillsburg area to be closer to my family.  Currently, I live in Dillsburg with my husband Adam, our daughter Annie, and our pet rabbit, Bun-Bun.

My husband and I enjoy exploring the outdoors with our daughter and she is quickly becoming a lover of the outdoors, too.  We hike the mountain behind our home.  We fish and kayak in the summer.  In the winter time, we ski at Ski Roundtop. When I'm not enjoying the scenery outside, I am dancing, singing, and reading with my daughter.  Scrapbooking, making cards, knitting, and grabbing coffee with friends are all things I enjoy, too.

Family time is very important to me.  I come from a large extended family and I love spending time with them and with my friends, too.

I look forward to meeting my kindergarten students and exploring with them all year long!

    See you soon!
