About Mr. Strausbaugh
-
I am currently in my 20th year at Northern as an elementary guidance counselor. In 1996, I obtained my graduate degree from McDaniel College in Counselor Education. Prior to receiving my degree, I had worked in various settings with children including Abraxas' Secured Treatment Facility, Hoffman Homes' Treatment Center for children with social and emotional needs, as well as Philhaven's Wrap-Around Services program.
I have been married to my wife, Tara, for 20 years. I have three boys, all of which attend elementary school. I greatly enjoy watching and coaching my three sons, Noah (15), Aden (13) and Evan (10) on their baseball and basketball teams. In my spare time, I enjoy running. I have participated in a number of races including 5k,10k, half-marathons and a full marathon. I completed my first, and most likely, last marathon in October of 2009.
I published book on adoption. The book highlights the events that had taken place throughout the adoption process of my oldest son, Noah. My intention writing the book, was to create a helpful and uplifting story to those individuals or couples considering adoption. The name of the book is Adoption is a Loving Choice.
