About Me
-
My name is Monica Cornett. I graduated from Wilson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Education. I also hold Middle School Math and Science, High School Biology, and Environmental Education certifications. Currently, I am a doctoral student at Liberty University.
I have three daughters, two sons-in-law, two grandsons, and three energetic canines. Rachel is a nutritionist. Lauren Paige works in a law office, and Hannah works at HydroTech. My son-in-law, Phil, is a tattoo artist. Nathan, also my son-in-law, is a geologist and is in the Army Reserve. Rook attends second grade and Ragnar is in preschool. Yukon and Pedro spend their day lounging on whichever piece of furniture has the best view of the birds at that moment. Meanwhile, Dewey, a UDS service dog, is working at NMS.
According to my children, I am insanely active. I do not know if I agree with their word choice, but I do enjoy many outdoor activities year-round. Endurance sports are my favorite, especially trail running and triathlons. I coach cross country and track for Northern.
