• Instrument Cleaning
What better time to give your instrument a deep cleaning than now?? Please make sure to follow directions carefully, as instrument repair shops are most likely closed until further notice!

Some additional tips: Parts made out of cork cannot be submerged in liquid. Parts made out of soft padding material cannot be submerged in liquid. When in doubt, do not submerge.

Each student should already have a "How to Care for my Instrument" sheet in their band folder. If this hasn't been looked at all year, now is the time to look at it!! For additional cleaning ideas, I have put a download link at the bottom of this page for a Cleaning Instruments 101 PDF, created by a friend of mine. Please do NOT allow children to do any heavy-duty-cleaning by themselves. Please assist them, and if you have any questions or doubts about one of the steps listed, please contact me FIRST.
