    ELD Home Page

This is Ms. Isolino reporting from the Northern York County School District's ELD classrooms.  I am thrilled to call Pennsylvania and Northern York County School District my new home.

What is ELDThose letters stand for ENGLISH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT.  This is an English language class for our "Polar Bear" students whose first language is NOT English. These multi-lingual students are the most interesting students ever!

I am passionate about ELD students and their families!  Born to parents from Italy and Spain, I am a first-generation American in my family.  My first languages were Spanish and Italian.  I attended kindergarten as an ELD student before there were any programs to help students acquire a new language.

My teaching career began in Lenoir City, TN in 2007, after staying home with my daughters for their elementary years.  I taught fourth grade for three years and then transitioned into an ELD position.  In 2012, I went back to school to get my Master's degree in TESOL, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

When I'm not teaching, I love spending carefree timelessness with my fiance Marty and our four dogs.   I also love traveling, reading, hiking, kayaking, and enjoying all things in nature.
