Different languages and different cultures are finding their way to Dillsburg -- what an interesting time to be here in our schools! We have had (and still have) ELD students from Afghanistan, Bosnia, Cambodia, Cameroon, China, Denmark, The Dominican Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, Eritrea, Greece, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Russia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Venezuela, Viet Nam, and Taiwan, as well as exchange students from different countries attending Northern High School. You can tour the world without leaving your Dillsburg community.

The ESL students are busy working HARD in their ELD classes this year. They are focusing all their attention on the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing. From spelling lists to essays to reading "novels" and completing daily journals, they are always busy. Even though there are many grade levels in a single class, EVERYONE works together for the benefit of EACH OTHER! It's a wonderful INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY with students from countries and cultures all around the world, right here in Dillsburg!
