About the Teacher

  • About the Teacher

    Hello,

Thanks for stopping by my personal corner on the web! I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Scott Eyster and I am currently serving as a fourth grade teacher at Northern Elementary School.  Prior to becoming a fourth grade teacher, I served as a substitute teacher for several area school districts until accepting a position as a Learning Support Instructional Aide at Wellsville Elementary School during the 1998-1999 school year.  The following year, I joined the Northern staff permanently and have spent the last twenty years sharing my gifts and knowledge with my students.

On a personal note, I was born in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania and grew up in the small rural town of East Berlin. I attended the Bermudian Springs Schools and graduated with honors in 1993.  My parents, both public school educators for thirty plus years, helped influence my decision to enter the teaching profession.  I attended
Messiah College and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education (grades 1-6) degree with an academic specialty in science.  Continuing my education, I pursued a Master's degree from Penn State University in 2003.

In 2001, I married my lovely wife, Christine.  She is a teacher in the Southwestern School District.  We have been blessed with two wonderful children, Brandon and Brianna.  We enjoy spending time with our family and making the most of each day.
