My name is Mrs. Hicks, and this will be my eighth year of teaching 4th grade at SME.  I have been teaching at SME for over a decade. Hard for me to believe, but I have been a teacher for 21 years.

I began my teaching career in Stafford, Virginia.  Eventually, I returned to my hometown of Pittsburgh, and I was a teacher there for five years.  Meeting my future husband led me to move to the Harrisburg area.  We have a son, Jackson, who is now 9 years old.  I am a University of Pittsburgh grad (Go Panthers!), with a Master of Arts in Teaching as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences Area.  I am certified by the state of Pennsylvania to teach elementary education.  As some of you may already know, I am a HUGE Steelers' fan.
