Part of our fourth grade curriculum is US Geography.  Each child will be expected to know the 50 states and 50 capitals.   This will be done over the course of the school year. There will be a test associated with each region.  For each region, the students will bring home a study guide to help them prepare for the test.  We will review in class, but students will have to work regularly on this at home also.  

 

Fourth grade students will continue to have a standards based report card.  For each PA History (Social Studies) standard, I will be collecting student artifacts, such as chapter tests, quizzes, independent class work, projects, and presentations.  Anecdotal records will be kept based on my classroom observations.  Students will have challenge opportunities for each marking period.
