Welcome to my teacher web page!

My name is Mrs. Heintzelman and I am the English Language Development teacher at Northern Elementary School.

I am a two-time graduate of Messiah College; I have an undergraduate degree in Middle Level Education and a master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Along with English Language Development, I am certified to teach science, English language arts, and reading. I was a 6th grade reading teacher at NMS before coming to NES to teach English!

I enjoy reading, learning languages, running, riding my bike, skiing, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. I also volunteer at a llama and alpaca farm and I help with a few local organizations, including one that facilitates a high school exchange program with York's "twin city" in Germany.
