6th-7th Grade

Length of Course:     1 Marking Period 

        In the Technology Education program in sixth and seventh grade, students will be learning about the following areas:

        Measurement

Students will accurately measure using a ruler or a tape measure.

        Mechanical Drawing

Students will be able to draw and differentiate between isometric, multi-view, and scale drawings. 

Research Project

Students will research and present a project on the technological advancements of his/her choice.

Design Projects

  Bridge Building

The Bridge Building activity provides students with an understanding of types of bridges, and stresses that impact bridge design. 

Picture Frame

Students will use accurate measurements to design and create a plastic picture frame.
