World Music class is an elective for 8th graders. 

This class has 2 separate educational objectives that work together simultaneously and harmoniously. 

1.  Students learn to play ukuleles and percussion instruments from all over the world.

2.  Students learn about music from other countries/cultures.  

2. 1. Unit 1: France             
   2. Unit 2: India
   3. Unit 3: Africa (various countries within)
   4. Unit 4: Jamaica
   5. Unit 5: Australia
   6. Unit 6: Korea
   7. Unit 7: Peru

This class lasts for one marking period and occurs during the CST time slots: Period 1 or 2.
