Read for the Record: On this day, millions of children and adults will be reading the book Nigel and the Moon by Antwan Eady and illustrated by Gracey Zhang. Our school will be participating in this exciting event!

Kindergarten/First Sight Word Make-It Take-It Title 1 Night Kindergarten and first grade students enrolled in Title 1 will be invited with their parents to attend an evening event in which students will be able to make a variety of games and activities to practice sight words.

Read Across America: This is the day we celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday and his passion for writing and illustrating children's books.

One School One Book: This is an exciting event that takes place near the end of the year when all of the students, teachers and staff in Northern Elementary School will be reading through the same book at the same time. Parents participate as well by reading through the book with their child at home. There are many extension lessons and activities that make this an exciting event for everyone who is involved. What will our book be this year???
