Hello!  My name is Mrs. Meagan Smyers.  I have worked my entire career at Northern High School.  I teach Small Animal Pet Care, Large Animal Science, Equine Science, Agricultureal Leadership and Development, SAE, and Veterinary Science.  My education consists of a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education specialized in Agriculture and a Master’s degree in Education. 

Personally, I grew up on a farm in western Adams County as the third generation on the farm. I raised and showed livestock throughout high school and college. I was a member of the Apple City FFA, Delaware Valley Colligate FFA, and now advisor of the Gifford Pinchot FFA.

It is very important to me to be able to prepare my students for the demands and rigor of the college environment and the agriculture industry.  

I have set high expectations and requirements for my courses.  For example, students are required to participate in all classroom activities like participating in hands on assignments.
