Welcome to my class. If you are reading this information, I am assuming that you are either a student or a parent. This tab is just a little bit about myself and my philosophy on teaching.

I love all the sciences get great enjoyment out of sharing that passion with my students. I have always been interested in all animals, especially reptiles. When you enter my room you will be able to see that.  As we embark on this journey of science together, you will find out much more about me.

My philosophy:

I am excited to be a part of your Science experience. As a teacher it is my responsibility to make sure that you know your science material. It is also a responsibility of mine to prepare you for your future. I will do my best to  make sure that I am fulfilling both of these responsibilities.

As your teacher it is my goal to encourage you to think. This is how I am preparing you for your future. Unfortunately, I believe in our culture, thinking is not something that is valued enough. In class we will be thinking about science, but thinking is a process.  Once learned, it will be a valuable asset for your future in all areas.  Sometimes answers do not come easily, but I believe that this is where true learning happens. Often the solution is looked at as the most important part of school. I, however, believe that the steps that take you to that solution are far more important to the learning process.

I probably will not give you every answer you want. You probably will get frustrated with me at least a few times. However, in my classes you will learn the ability to think for yourselves. I am looking forward to a great year!
