    Summer Institute for the Gifted

    The Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG), offered at some of the most prestigious institutions in the United States, is a high quality summer program for academically talented students between the ages of 10 and 17. Students choose from a variety of SIG courses, all of which focus on creativity, fun and unique academic challenges. In addition to academics, the SIG experience includes: connecting with peers in a community of like-minded learners, qualified instructors with extensive knowledge in their discipline, developing long-lasting and meaningful relationships, and increasing in self-confidence.

    Summer Honors Program at the Cook Honors College through IUP 

    Academically talented, rising high school juniors and seniors from across the country are invited to apply for this summer program.  Students will choose from discipline based courses such as business, anthropology, mathematics, communication, psychology, and many others, which are conducted by IUP faculty members and local professionals. Students will also have an opportunity to engage in college life and explore the campus planetarium, music hall, library, etc .

    Envision Career and Leadership Programs

     

    Numerous hands-on and rigourous summer programs matching a variety of careers are offered through Envision Career. Programs typically run from between six days and two weeks and take place at pretigious schools throughout the United States including Stanford University, Georgia Tech, Johns Hopkins Universtiy, Yale University, and University of Chicago. Students may receive college credit through George Mason University.

    Messiah College Young Writers' Workshop

     

    Students entering grades 9-12 have an opportunity to improve their skills as young writers. Commuter and Residential options are available.
