Welcome to Mrs. Bonner’s Sociology class! 

I'm so excited to be working with you to discuss such interesting material.    This is a reading & performance emphasis class. Students should expect regular reading assignments, tests, & cooperative activies with fellow class members.  By design, Sociology is a lecture/discussion and small group activities type of class.  Student participation and cooperation are evaluated as part of each student’s overall academic performance.   

This course is supposed to prepare students for college, which means the amount, depth, and difficulty of material might be new and challenging for students.  I understand this and am MORE THAN HAPPY to help. If you ever need help, feel free to stop by before school starts – I am usually available by 7:10 am at the latest – 4th period prep, 5^th period study hall, 7^th period lunch, or after school.  I have no problems meeting with you so that you are SUCCESSFUL, you just need to let me know that you need help.

Regular study patterns should be established for a successful student & class.  The best way to make sure you are prepared is to work on the review sheet as we are covering the material and not wait until right before the test to cram.

Remember to check daily in Schoology so that you know what assignments & tests are coming up.
