Hi Everyone,

I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself.  In some ways I’m from all over the state.  I was born outside of Philly, but moved to a suburb north of Pittsburgh when I was in elementary school and lived there most of my life.  I went to college in State College and finally moved to this area to be closer to my husband. 

This is my 14th year at Northern High School teaching social studies; however, it is my 16th year of teaching overall.  I've taught outside of Pittsburgh for a year & at Shippensburg High School for a year.  I am so excited to be starting my fourteenth year at Northern!  For me this is a special area, because it is the one where we have chosen to make our home & be a part of such an amazing community.

I am a PROUD graduate of Penn State University & thoroughly enjoy supporting Penn State athletics, especially the football team.  Overall I really enjoy sports, especially football & soccer.  My favorite professional football team is the Steelers.  In my not-so-free time I enjoy reading science fiction & fantasy books, supporting Northern students, & singing.

I am looking forward to getting to know you & working with you to help you have a successful year! My goal is for EVERY student to have a SUCCESSFUL year!  Hopefully we can work together to reach this goal!  Remember - if you ever need anything, come and see me.  I am here to help you.
