Mixed Chorus

  • Welcome to the Mixed Chorus Page!

    Students/Parents:

Please click the links to the left to view the Mixed Chorus Outline for the 2022-23 School Year. I'm looking forward to a new year of music making with the students, meeting new students to the high school, and building a community of young folks who accept each other's differences, support one another, make music together and have fun making memories through the bonds of music.  Under the Mixed Chorus tab you will find information relating to the class.  Students should also visit Schoology for important information about the class.  Parents are invited to join the Mixed Chorus Group in Schoology to stay connected.  You are all an important part of the success of our program.

We are hoping to continue our National Anthem Project for the 15th year this school year.  If you are interested in singing the "Star Spangled Banner" for home athletic events, you must AUDITION during a Chorus class and get approved by Mrs. Bissell.  If you would like some help to prepare for this, please let me know.  I will be happy to work with you.  I am so proud of all of you who are singing the "Star Spangled Banner" at our home athletic events.  Keep up the Great Work!!!  You are displaying great pride in our nation and our school by singing our National Anthem.  This year's NAP coordinator is Wini Haller:)  See Wini or Mrs. Bissell for more info.

There is a NAP Calendar that lists all of the home games/meets and is managed by the National Anthem Coordinator located in the Chorus Room.  All students who have been "approved" to sing the SSB may sign up to sing at these games/meets.  Varsity Home Football Games are reserved for Seniors only (unless Mrs. Bissell states otherwise).  Approved senior singers may sign up to sing at one Varsity Football game.

Students who are singing the National Anthem at home sporting events should check www.schedulestar.com to make sure the event has not been cancelled/postponed (especially when the weather is not good). IF the event is postponed, please plan to sing the National Anthem on the rescheduled date or ask someone else to sing in your place.  Thank you!
