Science

Third grade Science is an inquiry-based program, which means students will be “doing” the science through classroom experiments. We believe in discovery-based learning here in room 103! The following are unit topics that will be covered:

-Structures of Life

-Water

-Motion & Matter

There will be several experiments your child will have the opportunity to participate in! Students will be placed in “lab groups” during these experiments. Students will be assessed on their ability to obtain, record, and interpret observations made before, during, and after an experiment. Each scientist will be assigned a "SLAB" role for the day such as: Supplier, Leader, Assistance, Beginner, and Sweeper.
