    Hall of Fame Goals

In third grade we set goals...and crush them! Each month your learner will set a fluency goal. We will track that said goal on a weekly basis and reflect at the end of the month the progress and use that information to create a new goal for the next month! Without reflection, we will not grow. & in our classroom, we love to grow!

Students should practice their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts on a daily basis. This will improve their math in all areas and increase their computation fluency. Students will be using our Math Challenge, Multiplication Station, and Xtra math to help practice and assess their math facts. Information regarding your child’s Xtra math account will be sent home with your child within the first few weeks of school. Please note that the first half of the school year, students will focus on their addition and subtraction fact fluency while learning multiplication. While the second half of the school year, students will continue to practice their addition and subtraction, however, will also be expected to practice their multiplication and division facts as well.

Xtra Math: A timed program used for students to practice their fluency facts. This is done electronically, parents can access their child's progress via online. Your child's PIN code information will be labeled on his/her planner. Please log onto your parent account on Xtra Math that is linked to your child's account to monitor his/her progress! Letters regarding instruction on how to do this will be sent home at the beginning of the year. Students will engage in Xtra math on center days (2-3 days a week).

Multiplication and Division Station: Interactive center stations designed for students to learn the how and why behind multiplication and division fluency. After completing the challenge students are placed in the "Math Hall of Fame" and receive a math certificate!
