Social Studies

Third grade students will be studying mainly economics and geography in S.S. The following are unit topics that will be covered:

- Current Events

- Geography

- The Physical Characteristics of Places and Regions

- The Human Characteristics of Places and Regions

- Worldly Holiday Traditions and Culture

- Markets and the Functions of Governments

- Scarcity and Choice

- Economic Interdependence

- Work and Earning

There will be several projects (expeditions, research, Sharktank, and more!) students will work on in Social Studies. Please ask your child what project/activity they are working on each week! Information regarding each major project will be given when the project is assigned.
