2021-22 is my 9th year at NHS.  Teaching is a second career for me.  After more than 15 years as a structural engineer, I decided that it was time for a change and decided to get a Pennsylvania teaching certification.  Even though I planned to teach math, I lucked into teaching engineering and computer science!  In addition to teaching I:

• Am a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and Maryland
• Grew up outside of Philadelphia and graduated from Abington High School
• Graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Architectural Engineering
• Worked in engineering design firms, in an architectural firm, and even in a precast concrete manufacturing plant as an in-house specialty design engineer.
• Married my wife Karen (who is also an PSU engineering graduate) with whom I have two children -- Eric (19) and Drew (16)
• Attended Wilson College in Chambersburg to complete my teacher education program
