Let's look at the highlights of what we achieved this week at Mid Penns:
* 24 Season-Best Individual Times and 2 Season-Best Relay Times...EVERY SINGLE SWIM was the fastest of the season!
* Of those 24 individual performances, 16 were Career Best Times and 6 were In-Season Best Times (meaning without tapering and shaving)! Two of our Career Best Times were Evangeline and Sondo swimming their fastest times EVER in their 200 Free SPLIT going out in the 500 Free!....at their FEET!
* We had 4 Mid Penn Medalists - Arabella 3rd in Diving, Abigail 7th in the 50 Free and 8th in the 100 Free and Noah 6th in the 100 Fly!
* Nine of our swims this past weekend earned a place on the Northern All-Time Top 10 List:
- Abigail's 25.20 in the 50 Free (Tied for 3rd)
- Abigail's 54.88 in the 100 Free (7th)
- Noah's 22.55 50 Free Flat-Start leadoff leg of the 200 Free Relay puts him at #5 on the 50 Free List
- Noah's 49.67 100 Free Flat-Start leadoff leg of the 400 Free Relay puts him at #5 also on the 100 Free List
- Ben's 1:51.37 in the 200 Free moves him into a tie for 7th on the All-Time list
- Sondo's now in position #9 on the 500 Free list with his 5:05.52
- Noah made his third move with a time of 1:03.49 in the 100 Breast. He's now #3.
- Gavin's 55.40 in the 100 Fly earned him the #6 spot in that event
- Finally, Sondo's 200 IM time of 2:08.07 puts him at #10.
In terms of how we did as a team, the Girls finished with 46 points, earning 12th Place overall and 5th among AA teams. The Boys scored 58.5 points, resulting in a 13th Place team finish overall and finishing 4th among all AA teams.
These significant achievements were made possible by the hundreds of - hours of purposeful practice; practice dives; thousands of yards; reps in the Weight Room, on deck or on the rowing machines....day after day after day. The accomplishments this past week are a true testament to the dedication, commitment, focus and desire of Arabella, Abigail, Ben, Evangeline, Gavin, Jackie, Noah and Sondo. It demonstrates the POWER of setting BIG goals and working extremely hard together, every day, in pursuit of them!
