    "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy, 4:7

    Toward the end of the evening yesterday, when I realized how both meets were going to turn out, I approached Trinity's Head Coach Guy Tanguay and congratulated him and his teams.  At the same time I said, "Thank you.  Thanks to you and your athletes for challenging us at a level that brought out our very best.  We really appreciate that."  He returned the sentiment and wanted us to know his swimmers had some of their best swims of the season and, for many, of their life.  That's what it took for them to prevail.

    I knew we had some very good performances, but when I got home I was simply too exhausted to go over the results and I also felt I needed a little "distance" from the meet in order to regain proper perspective :-)

    As soon as I could this morning I loaded the meet results in my laptop......and as I viewed and examined and analyzed what we did yesterday in the Messiah College pool....a knowing, proud and excited smile grew broader and broader on my face!

    Let me say that what we did yesterday, as a team, was very exciting!

    Consider the following......
    * We posted 42 Career and In-Season Best Times/Scores (30 Career Best + 12 In-Season Best)!!!  Think about that!
    * Add 3 Season Best Times and 1 more Career First Time!
    * Finally, senior Josh Clarke made quite a statement when - with his time of 1:58.65 - he became the fastest swimmer to ever swim the 200 IM in the Messiah College pool.  That's now Josh's third Pool Record this season....500 Free at Big Spring, 200 Free at Central York and now the 200 IM at Messiah.  He's leaving his, and Northern's, mark throughout Central Pennsylvania.

    So, while the final scores from yesterday show Trinity + Camp Hill scored more points.....Trinity+Camp Hill Girls 93, Northern 87....Trinity+Camp Hill Boys 101, Northern 85....I'm not sure (as your Captains pointed out after the meet) the final score is, necessarily, a good measure of success.

    What I saw yesterday was a team of young men and women challenging, encouraging and inspiring each other to achieve a common goal - revealing your best selves to the world.   And you did.  Period.

    I could not be more proud and am very excited (did I mention that?) because...as well as we did yesterday and throughout this season...
    THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!!

    Sincerely,

    Coach Resser
