  • What a tremendous TEAM effort yesterday!

    Our Boys Team came away with an impressive 97-83 victory and our Girls Team won handily 104-79.  When you look at the results, it will become readily apparent that what enabled our success was the depth of each team.  Out of twelve events, we only came in first in four in both meets.  What won it for us was all the second, third, fourth and fifth places.  You should be very proud of how well all of you performed, together, across the entire meet.

    Your two important Colonial Division wins were made possible by...
    * 28 Career Best Times
    * 3 In-Season Best Times
    * 3 Season Best Times
    * 1 Career First Time

    The Boys Team is now 5-5 Overall and 3-2 in the division, while the Girls Team is also 5-5 Overall and 4-1 in the division.

    The Boys Team achieved their team goal of winning at least one more division meet than last year!  Congratulations gentlemen!  The Girls Team left no doubt about their proper place in our division.

    And we did all this while having to deal with continued illness and injury, resulting in some last-minute lineup "dynamics."

    I was standing in front of our white board having a conversation with a reporter after the meet and was realizing how interesting it was that not that long ago we, as a team, were at that same white board discussing how important it is in life to be able to overcome adversity.   Yesterday, in our pool, we did what we had to do to leave no doubt about our commitment to seeking excellence together.
