Yesterday's scrimmage against Wyoming Seminary yielded some very
good results. Our Girls Team prevailed by a score of 94-76 and the Boys
Team came up just short, 79-88. We posted 24 Career Best Times (the
fastest time ever recorded in a swimmer's life, according to my records)
and 31 Career First Times (the very first official, legal time recorded
for a swimmer in a particular event)!
It was a
great way to measure our progress so far individually and as a team. As
I said after the meet yesterday, while we had some good performances,
we have some clear opportunities for improvement. We'll work on those
things in practice every day, with the objective of constantly seeking
to get better.
I've attached the Meet Results
for you. When looking at them, please note we were having some issues
with the timing system for the Girls 200 Medley Relay. If you notice
some split times missing in an event, it may mean the swimmer didn't hit
the touchpad hard enough at the turn to register a "touch".
When
speaking with the coaches from Sem afterwards, they said they and their
swimmers really enjoyed the experience and had some very good swims.
We "brought out the best in them." That's something of which we should
be proud.
