Schuylkill Valley

  • What a tremendous, courageous team effort last night!

Despite a long bus ride, lots of coughing and other challenges, both Polar Bear teams prevailed against the tough Panthers of Schuylkill Valley.

Our young, seniorless Boys Team, for those keeping track, is now 3-1 in 2016!  Yesterday, a true team effort resulted in a very exciting, down-to-the-wire, 91-84 victory!  That win was made possible by 21 Career Best Times/Scores and 1 In-Season Best Time.  I can't overemphasize how much of a positive impact our new swimmers and diver :-) are having on our achievements.  Once again, filling the lanes yesterday with continuously improving swims/dives, really made a difference.  The Boys Team's records now stand at 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the Colonial Division.

The girls took on a team that will definitely be contending for the District III AA Championship in March at CV and beat them 97-89!  What a gutsy performance, with 10 Career Best Times/Scores and 6 Season Best Times.

I have to give a special shout out to Coach Finkey and the divers - Kolby, Brady and Maddie!  Every time the three of you step on the board in a meet, your hard work in practice is evident.  You just keep getting better and better!  The four of you are such important members of our team.  Please know that.

Each and every one of you made a difference yesterday by either scoring important points or providing encouragement and inspiration to your teammates.  As I reminded you before the meet, the outcome was up to you...and you delivered!
