Mid Penn Plunge

  • Mid Penn Plunge

    Team,

I first want to thank the many Boosters/parents that helped prepare for and run the Plunge yesterday; the District swimmers that ran the meet; Mr. Schwille for his support; and the coaching staff that did such a good job of preparing and guiding the swimmers.  I particularly want to thank Coach Ahearn for filling in as Meet Director and Jon Wheat and Brian Carroll for managing the timing system and meet software.

I truly regret that I couldn't be with you yesterday to experience, firsthand, your tremendous achievements!

As I followed the meet online, I was extremely proud of what you were accomplishing.  As I said at practice on Thursday, EVERYthing we did, you did, this season was so you could perform well yesterday at the Mid Penn Plunge and YOU DID!  Boy, did you!

Read this carefully and reflect on it for a minute....of the 58 total swims we had, we recorded 49 Career Best Times (that's 84.5%) and three Season Best Times.  So 89.7% of your swims were either a Career or Season Best Time.  That is INCREDIBLE!

I could not be more proud of you!

What an exciting way for many of you to finish your season.  All your hard work really paid off.  Congratulations!

I just sent in our entries for Districts (see Email).  To those of you competing at Districts on Feb. 27-28, you should be very excited about the possibilities that your similar preparations may yield.

Those competing on the District Team and who should report to practice on Monday are:

    * GIRLS(8) - Alexa Byers, Makenna Byers, Rachel Eby, Libby Gingrich, Gabby Lodovici, Larissa MacDougall, Jenn Strine and Cait Weeden

    * BOYS (6) - Bryce Carroll, Josh Clarke, Cory Poe, Garrett Mixon, Ethan Spencer and Peter Wheat

I'll see the District team and coaches when I return on Monday, Feb. 23rd.  Until then swimmers, do what is asked of you, because everything has a purpose.

I look forward to seeing everyone else who has finished at the Season Celebration on Saturday, March 28th.  We already have lots to celebrate.

    Proudly,

    Coach Resser
