What exciting meets today! I was SO very proud of our athletes and our program. The Girls Team won 9 of 12 events today in capturing their second Colonial Division meet of the season with an impressive 104-79 win over the Bulldogs of Big Spring. Falling behind after the hosts swept the diving and earned 13 unanswered points, our girls fought hard and never gave up.
The Boys Team made it very interesting winning the last ten events on their way to a heart-stopping come-from-behind 92-91 victory.
The truth is the success each team experienced was as the result of the efforts of everyone. Everyone! Every point mattered and every athlete, coach and fan contributed in some way. There were some impressive performances today.
Across both meets, we posted 21 Career Best Times, 8 first swims and 1 Pool Record....Josh Clarke's 4:48.22 in the 500 Free!
The Girls Team moved their record to 2-0 in the Colonial Division and 2-1 overall, while the Boys Team is now 1-1 in the Division and 2-1 overall.
Our next meet is a non-division contest on Thursday at 4:00 PM at Palmyra.
