Today in Palmyra, the Girls Team came up against a very fast and deep Cougar team.  We managed to win four events, but Palmyra prevailed 106-64.  We knew before the season started that York Suburban and Palmyra were going to be very tough meets, and they were.  Both teams are well coached, well disciplined and very capable.

The Boys Team managed to win 9 of 11 events on their way to capturing their non-division contest 89-81.

I made it a point to tell the Palmyra coaching staff after the meet how very pleased and impressed we were that their team was often seen cheering OUR swimmers on.  It's always a pleasure to compete against worthy opponents for whom you have tremendous respect.

Check this out.....over both meets, we posted 15 Career Best Times, 11 Season Best Times and 7 Career First Legal swims!

We now have a break from competition until the Central York Panther Classic on Saturday, Jan. 3rd and our next Colonial Division dual meet on Tuesday, Jan 6th, when we host James Buchanan.  The Central meet has an unusual format with limitations on the number of entries for the meet.  I'll be in touch over the Christmas Break with details on our entries for both the Panther Classic.

We go into the Christmas Break with the Girls Team undefeated in Colonial Division competition at 2-0 and 2-2 overall.  The Boys Team is 1-1 in the division and 3-1 overall.

Swimmers and Divers....when you read this, please send me your idea for a worthy social service organization (including website) you would like to be included on the ballot as a potential beneficiary of the proceeds from our Swim-a-Mile swim-a-thon on Friday, Dec. 26th.

It's been a great start to the season, with lots of positives.  At the same time, we still have a great deal of hard work ahead of us as we continue on our journey seeking excellence.

Parents....thank you, so very much, for your support of the Northern Swimming & Diving Program.  It's greatly appreciated by the coaches and athletes.  On behalf of the entire coaching staff, we would like to wish you a wonderful, joyous and meaningful Christmas Holiday, filled with laughter and great memories.

    See you at the pool,

    Coach Resser
