WOW!!! What a great meet we had today against Colonial Division opponent James Buchanan.
We had established a Team Goal of posting at least 18 Career Best Times and 2 Legal First Times in each remaining dual meet. We blew both away today, with 43...yes 43....Career Best Times and 9 Career First Times! Speaking of firsts, Garrett did a forward somersault with 3 and 1/2 twists for the very first time and nailed it! What an amazing dive! Everyone seemed to contribute to our success.....new and experienced....girls and boys....swimmers and divers....sprint races and distance races.
As a result, the Girls team preserved their undefeated status in the division with a 3-0 record and moved to 3-2 overall. The Boys team, meanwhile is now 2-1 in the division and 4-1 overall.
This just goes to show that the work you're putting in day after day, dive after dive, yard after yard, is really having a positive impact. Stay the course. Continue to practice with a purpose.
Our next opponent is one of our chief competitors at the District III Championships, Schuylkill Valley, this coming Thursday, January 8th, at home starting at 5:00 PM.
Fantastic job today, swimmers and divers! I couldn't be happier and more proud!
